G2H2 is a traveling Happy Hour scheduled on the first Thursday of the Month. Clasico owners were thrilled to be hosting the LGBT community at their business stating "Why would you have wanted to have it anywhere else?" after Cask & Ale canceled the event 2 days prior due to complications with the event contracts. G2H2 collected over 50 toys for "Manasota Guardians of Love" an organization that promotes wellbeing for local less privileged children, the homeless, and families. Sign-up for the G2H2 notifier to stay informed on the locations by visiting www.g2h2sarasota.com By Joshua Beadle On December 1st, SarasotaOUT.com quietly celebrated 2 years of serving Sarasota's LGBT community. Over the past 2 years, we've had over 240,000 views on the website. Let's take a minute to really reflect on those numbers. It's truly astonishing a little website created in a living room as a passion project. This number shows that people are getting SarasotaOUT.com's mission "To provide a central location to bring ALL of Sarasota's LGBT community together and to build a better, stronger more active community." Locals are using the website to find out new events happening around town and to find the businesses that are LGBT Friendly so they can support them. This also means that tourists are using the website to find out what LGBT Sarasota has to offer while on their vacation. I could not be more happy with the last 2 years and am excited to announce that I'm dedicating my time to SarasotaOUT.com and Sarasota's LGBT community FULL TIME! Yes, that means I'm putting my faith into the community to understand the importance of a website like SarasotaOUT.com and its impact on our entire community. I will be working hard at creating content, doing stories on the LGBT community, listing events and helping businesses get the most out of the online directory. SarasotaOUT.com runs on advertising/sponsorships - so If your business would like to sponsor us please message me ( [email protected] ), together we will work on a campaign that will not only shine but will let the community know you support them. SarasotaOUT.com kicked off the holiday season by participating in #givingtuesday a global initiative that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday and focuses on giving back to the community. SarasotaOUT.com created a campaign for 6 local non-profits including, ALSO Youth, CAN Community Health and Purple Rhino. This year with the communities gratious support we were able to raise $725! Make sure you keep the holiday spirit alive by giving back to those who need and appriciate your support! Happy Holidays from SarasotaOUT.com Hands Along the Water is planning a peaceful demonstration in Collier, Lee, Sarasota and Pinellas counties on Dec 15th to raise awareness of the impact of harmful algae blooms on both people and marine life. https://www.facebook.com/events/298460644115234/?ti=ia |
