PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.
Since 1972 PFLAG (Parents, Famlies has been standing up in support of the LGBTQ community. With over 400 chapters nationally, with a mission to advance equality, provide education, and offer support and advocacy to ensure a culture of acceptance and inclusion. "PFLAG's vision is to create a world where difference is celebrated, and all people are valued inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Our mission of support, education, and advocacy guides our work on this important goal." (PFLAG National, 2017). PFLAG Sarasota offers education, resources, and support for Sarasota and Manatee counties. |
